Conference Weekend - Copy Cat

Hi everyone! How's your weekend? This is what I've been up to. Today the weather was too perfect though to stay inside all day, so Jordan and I took some hammocks up to campus, set them up, and listened to General Conference.  We may have fallen asleep a little. We were good and listened the whole time. Well, that's pretty much all I have for today. I'm going to get back outside and enjoy this weather! Tomorrow is supposed to be cold again. Feeling Funky

I feel like I've been in a funk lately, creatively speaking.  I've been coming home from work and wasting time watching tv and browsing the internet.  I haven't been making things like I usually love to do. I've also have been in a funk with my clothes and don't like anything.  What do you do to get out of your "funks" like this?

Oh, hello again everyone. You haven't seen me around because I've been gone so much for school.  Last week I went to Zion for a wildlife conference. It was the Utah Chapter of The Wildlife Society annual meeting. You go and you get to hear people talk about all the research they've been doing. Its pretty cool.  While we were down in Zion the weather was absolutely beautiful. I may not have gone to as many of the talks as was supposed to...

These pictures were obviously not taken in Utah. I'm being mean and giving you a little teazer of what summer is like. Last summer Viv and I went to Cape Cod to visit our Mama and took a little walk on the beach one day while we were there.  This skirt is one of my favorite warm weather items. Its a little strange with the big pockets on the side, but super comfy and easy to wear. We planned on both wearing our big pocket skirts for twin Tuesday, but it looks like Viv and I twinned our skirts and our yellow sweaters.

Spring is my favorite season (until the leaves start changing in fall, then fall is my favorite, until the first snow comes and everything is covered in white and peaceful, then winter is my favorite).  One of my favorite things about spring is sunny days and more hours of daylight.  Not much beats listening to good music with the windows down in the car on a warm sunny day.  Here's one of my favorite songs for days like that, by the Weepies.

I'm not sure if you've even noticed, but I'm the only one posting again this week because Suz is out of town again for school.  Jensen and I went snowboarding today for probably the last time this season, and it was tons of fun. Now I am super worn out so that's all I have to say for tonight. :)   Hope you all have a Happy Friday!

Santa came to town

Jensen and I went to Denny's with some friends tonight.   Before we left an old man with long white hair and a long white beard started walking towards our table.  When I saw him I whispered to Jensen, "It's Santa."  To my surprise the old man responded, "I can read lips you know.  I know what you said."   I get embarrassed pretty easy so I wanted to run and hide.  Luckily the old man seemed really friendly and smiled at me and joked around with us.  Anything embarrassing happen to you lately? 

Writers Block

 I'm brain dead today, and I can't think of anything to write about... So let's talk about the weather.

If you live in the Provo area I'm sure you noticed winter came back today.  I'm ok with that. It means pretty snow in the mountains and one more day of snowboarding, on my day off this week!  It also means that all I've done since I got home from church today is sit around on my bum and eat.  Now I think it's time for a nap.

Pi Day

Happy Pi Day everyone! Jordan and I celebrated by eating pizza for dinner and now we have a dutch oven apple pie cooking up. We got the recipe from a lady in his home ward. We ate some of it over Christmas break and it was the best apple pie I had ever eaten. I hope ours turns out just as good. I will have to tell you about it later.

Have you guys been enjoying the warm weather as much as me? I dressed up for the warm weather with some lace and ruffles (there are ruffles all over the shirt which you can't really see with the scarf on). I felt very springy

extreme fashion blogging

I have created a new sport. I will call it extreme fashion blogging. For some change in scenery today, Jordan and I mosied over across the street for some pictures in front of a nice brick wall. Well, this brick wall has bricks that stick out. That are perfect for climbing!! So you guys get to see some my awesome skills. Now I think we should see how extreme we can get. Climbing walls today and maybe sky diving tomorrow?

Oh yeah, and a kitty came over and joined our photos too. The same kitty likes to come in our house when we have the door open. I want to keep him.

Sunday was the perfect day!  The weather was amazing and we get an extra hour of daylight now!  The only thing I can complain about was the crazy wind that only happened when we took these outfit posts, so please excuse the crazy hair fly aways.  Sundays are probably my favorite day of the week.  It's the only day Jensen and I are both off work together and it's so nice to be able to go to church and come home and relax.  Yesterday after church we had a picnic in our front yard and took a little bike ride.  How was your weekend?

BYU Blogger Meet Up

Last Thursday was the BYU blogger meet up.  It was a lot of fun! We got to meet quite a few fellow bloggers. Here's a few pics from the night.  Suz and I got to meet some of our favorite bloggers, Madison and Lauren from Awkward Girls.  I participated in hosting a give away of one of my bags from my etsy shop.  It was great to meet so many of you lovely ladies!  Suz and I were also lucky enough to win a give away! Suz won a print from Livy Love Designs and I won a photo session from Sami Jo Photography.

Today's copy cat is from one of my favorite fashion bloggers Kendi from Kendi Everyday. I love the stripes with the bright pop of color in her outfit.

Also, here's a random fact about myself for you.  In high school I was voted most unique for our yearbook my senior year.  Ironic since I have an identical twin, and not only did we look a lot alike, our personalities and interests were also very much the same.  We were probably more alike than any other two people at our school at the time, even though there were 2 other sets of identical twins in our grade.
