Santa Clause is Coming to Town

Christmas is almost here!  When I was little on Christmas Eve Suz and I would stay up too late talking to each other anxious about the next morning, unable to fall asleep. One Christmas there was a huge Barbie boat waiting for us under the tree the next morning.  My dad told us he helped Santa put the boat together and I remember thinking how cool my dad was because he knew Santa personally.
Even though I don't have quite the same excitement I had when I was little I'm still so excited it's just over a week away!

Hope everyone is surviving their finals if you're in school. I only had research credits and I audited a sewing class this semester so I didn't have any finals! My vacation won't start until next weekend though because I'll be working on research until then.

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!  Jensen and I spent the day with his aunt, uncle, and their kids and it was a blast.  Now it's time to begin celebrating Christmas in full force!  I already have my house decorated and I have been making Christmas crafts all weekend long.

Here's what I wore for Thanksgiving feasting. 

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I'm in California with Jordan's family and Viv is in Utah. After enjoying food and napping with everyone on the couch last night I turned into one of those people. The people who go to Wal Mart and turn CRAZY. Just kidding, we didn't really turn crazy, but we did go to the store last night. Jordan's sister wanted to go for a t.v. that was on sale from only 10-11. We went around 7:30 and stood in line for the store to open at 8 and then navigated through all the crazy to stand in another line until 10. We went to the store planning on just getting the one t.v. And we left with FOUR. Jordan and I got one too, his mom, and his brother. It was a good deal :). Viv braved the crazy by herself and went shopping in Provo.

Remote

Apparently the message I got from blogger yesterday was not true because it's working today. Yay!  

So I tried to take some outfit photos of myself and I failed.  My remote will usually take photos pretty easy when I just hold it by my side sort of pointing it up at the camera, but for some reason it would only take the photo if I held it at the same height as the camera pointing directly at it, so here's the best picture I have :)

Out of Space

I was going to post an outfit today but blogger won't let me.  It says I reached the max for my photo storage. (1G)  Do any of you know how to fix this or where/how else to store my photos?

Little Yellow Bow

I went to Bijou Market this weekend and bough this bag and the hair clip I'm wearing and I love them both! I'm going to have to force myself not to wear my cute yellow bow every day for the rest of forever.  

And can I just say that I am SO excited for Thanksgiving this week!?  I am so excited for Thanksgiving this week! Jensen and I will be joining his aunt and some cousins for Thanksgiving.  It's the first time since we've been married that it's not just the two of us on our own for the holidays.  I'm so happy to be able to spend it with family and to not have to cook an entire thanksgiving meal for just two people :)

Seals!

I think seals are my new favorite animal.  We went to La Jolla cove to see the seals and I was like a little kid with how excited I was.  I mean just look at that cute face.  I wish I could have scooped up one of the babies to take home with me to live in my bathtub and be my best friend just like Andre.

PS.  I hope everyone in Utah is enjoying the snow! Even though I'm in sunny California I can't help but be jealous the I'm missing out on the white fluffy snow.

Pizza sauce

Happy election day everyone! I don't have much to say today, but I do have a new favorite pizza sauce.  Jordan's friend shared it with us and we had it on English muffin pizzas tonight. Try it out:

6 oz. can tomato PASTE (not sauce)

1 tbsp sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp oregano

1/8 tsp pepper

It is sweet and delicious. Yum!

Vacation time!

Greetings from San Diego!  Jensen and I are here this week to see my mama for a surprise visit!  She had no idea we were coming, so when we arrived last night it was great!  Today we're going to La Jolla cove to see all the seals and tomorrow we're heading to Disneyland.  I've never been so I'm super excited.  I'm also hoping that since it's election day maybe it will be a little less crowded than normal?  

It wore this last week in Utah when the weather was a lot chillier than it is now, and with the weather in San Diego getting close to 90 degrees today I don't think I'll be wearing any tights or sweaters this week.  I hope you all have a great week, and make sure to get out and vote tomorrow if you haven' voted yet!

One last thought before I hit the sack... November is only one day (and one night) away! And for me that means Christmas celebrating time is almost here!

I wore this on Sunday when Jordan and I went on a bike ride along the Provo River Trail. The trail is beautiful this fall with all of the leaves dropping off the trees. Bangs?

I talked about a little while ago that I'm attempting to grow out my bangs (again). They've reached the length now that I can push them back to the sides with the rest of my hair and almost look like I don't have any bangs, and I'm not sure if I like it.  Now the debate is on again.... should I give them more of a chance and keep growing them out, or cut them! 

Also today I heard my first Christmas commercial of the year on the radio and I couldn't be more excited!

Leaves and Bugs

Hello! I'm back! Sorry for the blog break last week.  It was mostly accidental, basically I just didn't get dressed so there was nothing to take photos of.

Jensen and I went up Hobble Creek Canyon yesterday afternoon to enjoy the cool air and changing leaves.  It was beautiful!  And lots of fun to play in the leaves until I noticed the bugs.  When I looked down at my shoes they were covered in teeny tiny white bugs.  Since I was throwing leaves in the air I couldn't help but feel like they were all over me. Yuck.

 I've been applying to a ton of jobs and I've had several job interviews lately.  I think all my interviewing is taking a toll on my brain.  Today I showed up for a job interview and checked in with the receptionist.  She called around to see who I would be meeting with.  Another very friendly lady came out and told me my job interview is tomorrow, and the person interviewing me was not there today.  Oops.  I kindly asked her not to pass the message along that I showed up a day early.
