Tatunka

sweater: Old Navy, jeans: Levis, sweater and shoes: target, necklace: f21, bracelet: gift
When it's cold and windy and the sun is shining in my eyes I am really terrible at taking pictures.  Pretty much all of my pictures looked like I had my eyes closed.

My husband hates skinny jeans, which is really unfortunate because they're my favorite.  He calls me Tutunka when I wear them, which is the Indian word where he grew up for Buffalo and it makes him think he's soooo funny because buffalo have skinny legs and big butts.  It would almost sound like an endearing name if I didn't know what it meant.

Mint Chocolate Chip

sweater: Banana Republic, undershirt: DownEast, shirt: Belk, skirt: Macy's, tights: Gap,
shoes: Forever Young (gift from Suz), belt: f21, bracelet: Modcloth
Mint green and brown is probably one of my favorite color combinations- like mint chocolate chip ice cream and Andes Mints.  Yum!  Add some ruffles and a gold belt and you've got yourself an outfit.

So my husband and I like to watch AFV together at night after dinner (yeah, we're super cool).  I think it's starting to rub off on him.  This morning while I was eating breakfast I heard a crash come from our bathroom, so I went to make sure he was ok.  He was standing there looking really embarrassed because he lost his balance while he was drying off and fell backwards into the bathtub ripping our shower curtain down with him.  I think he might have secretly done it on purpose.  Our shower curtain is layers of ruffles and he has never been a huge fan.

Cakes and Awkward Faces

shirt: borrowed from Viv (old navy), jeans: levis, shoes: gift, sweater: gap, scarf: gift

I don't really have much to say today.
I had a dream that it was Friday, and then I woke up to Tuesday.
I made pancakes for dinner. They were delish.
Last night I got a cake cookbook from the library. I am very excited about it.
And sorry for the awkward faces. I just haven't quite mastered the art of blogger pictures.

Easy Does It

sweater: Gap, headband: AE, jeans: Levis, boots: Steve Madden, belt: f21
At church Jensen and I teach the 4 and 5 year olds.  Today we were trying to teach them about spirits, and how we came to earth so we could get a body.  Jensen compared a spirit to a ghost hoping that would help them to understand.  We were told that ghosts are costumes and one little boy said "Ghost are just a sheet."  I don't think his comparison helped at all.
This outfit is a little boring to me, but it's probably what I wear most often when I don't have time to think before I get dressed.  Mostly because I hit snooze a few too many times in the mornings before work.  Simple top, skinny jeans, and boots.

We got together for Super Bowl to eat snacks and watch funny commercials watch football.  We don't own the same exact jean/chambray shirt, so this isn't a normal "Twin Tuesday" post, but Madison and Lauren over at Awkward Girls challenged everyone to wear their jean and chambray shirts to see how we all style them differently.  We thought this was a great challenge for us since we try to do this weekly anyway. In case you were wondering, our Super Bowl feast included: chili cheese dip, salsa, chips, cream cheese-stuffed-bacon-wrapped-jalapenos, taquitos, teriyaki chicken bites, chocolate bundt cake, peanut butter cookies, and lots of Dr. Pepper.  Hope your Super Bowl was fun too!

PS. In case you were wondering Viv is about one inch taller than Suz. (about 5'8" to Suz's 5'7")

Copy Cat

shirt: Old Navy, pants: AE, undershirt: DownEast
These pictures show a number  of things:
- How much I need to learn how to properly take a self portrait using a tripod and camera remote
- How much I need my husband to take my photos for me
- How much my clothes stretch out and wrinkle after a full day at work
- How sad my originally cute messy ponytail looks at the end of the day
I do love the simplicity of the grey and white striped top with the red pants though.  Although, Jane from See Jane looks much more put-together without quite so much saggy-ness and wrinkles in her outfit.

Couch Shoes

shirt: j crew, sweater: urban outfitters, pants: gap, scarf: handmade,
shoes: mama found on ebay! kitty: pigeon

My mom ordered these shoes off of ebay when I was in high school. I remember thinking when she got them what in the world are these things??? And now I love them.  A little old couch, a little grandma-ey. Perfect I think.  Mama was just thinking about 7 years into the future.
