Twin Wednesday- Flashback

Viv and I have a long history of taking outfit pictures.  When Viv and I were little our granny used to send us clothes and we would model them, our mama would take pictures, and then we'd send them to Granny. I remember she used to send super frilly dresses that we'd wear for pictures and then they would just end up in the back of the closet and we would find them years later with the tags still on. In the top picture we are modeling some German outfits our Omi sent to us. And in the bottom picture you can see we're on trend with our bows in our hair and peter pan collars.

Birthday Girls

Hope you all had a good weekend. Viv and I celebrated our birthday and hung out with friends and family. Viv and I started a birthday tradition a few years ago. Birthday girls get to wear birthday crowns! This year we made flower crowns, better than our usual plastic sparkly ones I think.

SUMMER

I have been loving everything lace lately and I found this skirt at a down east clearance sale. It was a size xxxxxl or something, but since it's a simple a-line and a big elastic waist band with no zippers or buttons I bought it anyway and took it in.  

Do you have any big plans for the first official weekend of summer?  I do!  In case you missed the past two blog post where I talked about my birthday... it's my birthday!!! I loooove birthdays, and I think mine is especially great.  It's right around the first day of summer, and almost exactly half way around the year from Christmas, and I have a twin so we can celebrate together!

One of those Days

Today I broke a glass doing dishes.  That's itself is not that bad.  Today I grabbed the wrong end of my curling iron (that had been plugged in for quite a while).  Today my computer died.  I sure am glad days like this are few and far between.  I'm also glad I have five more of those glasses, my hand will heal, and my computer is still covered under Apple Care, so as soon as I figure out how I can back up my dead computer I can get it fixed.

One a side note the purse I'm wearing here is a birthday present from Suz! Our birthday is on Saturday and since we are terrible at surprises we exchanged gifts already.  Happy birthday week to us!

Friday Finds - Birthday Edition!

Viv and I have a birthday coming up! Here are a few things on my wish list this year:

1. I have a trusty brown shoulder bag that I use for everything - school books, road trips, flights, camping, everything! It's on it's last breaths of life and I want a cute backpack to replace it. I love this one from Urban Outfitters.

2. One day when I have a house I want a plate gallery on my kitchen wall. Jordan and I love to forage for mushrooms so I think this one from Anthropologie would be perfect.

3. I think all of these polishes from essie are great! This summer I want purple, peach, mint, and light grey.

4. I kitten!!! This is really number one on my list. Any kitty will do. I am not picky.

5. A sheep skin rug from Ikea.

6. I really want a bench/storage thing to sit at the bottom of my bed.  I LOVE the print of this one from Target.

Jordan, I hope you're taking good notes.

I like red pants

My brain is tired today so I can't think of anything interesting to write about.  I, like Suz, have been watching a lot of Design Star (and Secrets from a Stylist and reading Emily Henderson's design blog) so I have been non-stop designing my dream home in my mind.  It's quite fun.  Now I really want to buy a pretty rug for the house with nice wooden floors that I don't have.
